About PFP Contractors

PFP Contractors is the UK's independent directory of FIRAS-certified passive fire protection contractors. We exist to make it simple for building owners, principal contractors, and facilities managers to find verified, competent fire protection installers.

Why We Built This

Post-Grenfell building safety audits have revealed widespread passive fire protection deficiencies across the UK building stock. Every survey flags fire stopping failures. Every refurbishment project in an occupied building now requires remediation by certified contractors.

But finding a certified contractor is harder than it should be. The official FIRAS register is a compliance verification tool, not a procurement tool. It has no geographic search, limited contact details, and no way to filter by the specific service you need. Buyers spend hours cross-referencing multiple databases before they can even shortlist.

We built PFP Contractors to bridge that gap. Every contractor listed here has been verified against the FIRAS register. You can search by location, filter by certification scope, and contact contractors directly — all in one place.

How Verification Works

Every listing in this directory is sourced directly from the official FIRAS register maintained by Warringtonfire. We verify each contractor's certification status, certificate number, and certified scopes against the register. Only contractors with an active "Issued / Valid" status are listed.

We periodically re-verify listings to ensure accuracy. If a contractor's certification is withdrawn or suspended, their listing is removed from the directory.

Independence

PFP Contractors is an independent service. We are not affiliated with Warringtonfire, FIRAS, IFC Certification, BM TRADA, ASFP, or any other certification body, trade association, or manufacturer. Our listings are based solely on verified certification data.
